Green Houses

Green houses are often seen in many third world countries. The larger ones are usually owned by the government, but some families have been able to obtain a small private green house. Both larger and smaller green houses are typically metal frames covered with non durable translucent plastic. Currently there are low cost, high efficiency, very durable alternatives that are being developed. These models are constructed from the natural building materials available in country (mud and straw) with glazing only on one side. As these models are refined for application in third world countries, they will become a primary means for helping people have a source of food and income.
